Trademark Renewal Period
In Nigeria, a trademark registration is valid for an initial period of 7 years from the date of the application. After the initial registration period, the trademark may be renewed for successive periods of 14 years.
Timely renewal helps maintain the registration and the rights associated with the registered trademark.

Important: Renewal fees apply per trademark class. If a trademark is registered in more than one class, a separate renewal fee applies to each class.

Important Information
Submission of a renewal request to Nooktoria does not itself renew a trademark registration. Renewal is subject to the applicable requirements and acceptance by the Nigerian Trademarks Registry.
